Help James Key
James and Amy Key of Amarillo, TX. A young couple married a few years ago, James works a "regular" job as he pursues his passion for music and Amy has worked for several years for TPMHMR (Texas Panhandle Mental Health Mental Retardation). They have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jocelyn, who just turned one a couple months ago. Her birthday was marred by the fact that James received a diagnoses of Leukemia the day before. They have had to put their lives on hold while James receives treatment at MD Anderson. Having only completed the first of his treatments the healthcare bills are already in the six figure range. They do have some insurance, but it is unclear how much will be covered. James is on maintenance chemo until a suitable donor is found for a bone marrow transplant. That procedure alone will easily be a quarter of a million dollars. Unable to work much during this time, James and Amy are dependent on credit and the help their friends can give to meet their needs, such as mortgage payments and feeding their family.
