Birthday Blessing

Matti could have asked for a million different things for her 9th birthday but all she wanted was to give rather than to receive. She asked everyone she invited to her party to bring a donation for a family in need in Belize instead of a present. She had heard about the need from a family friend that had recently served in Belize and seen the dire situation. Matti's parents had also been to Belize multiple times and had shared their heart and passion for serving others with their children. Once Matti heard this story she knew she wanted to do something and came up with the plan to raise some support to help. The 9 kids that attended the party raised close to $200 and donated it to TWAW to deliver to the family! This gift has not only helped a family with food, clothing and school tuition, but has also encouraged others to do their part. What a great example of what can happen when one person, a kid for that matter, decides to open their heart to someone in need.

He said to them "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
