Update on Dallan – follow up with oral surgeon

Dallan continues to heal nicely from the removal of the 5 teeth in front of his lower jaw.

Dallan is very at ease in the dental chair!  Grateful for a good report and continued healing!

We have discussed with him a lot about school … Bev is a retired school teacher after 28 years. She believes that Dallan is very intelligent and that he may have an un-diagnosed learning disability. [Dallan’s trip to the states may change his life in more ways than one!  While receiving care for the tumor and infection in his jaw, he may also be able to have one-on-one tutoring to help with reading and to overcome the learning challenges he faces.] …

Dallan, is a good boy. He is worth it. We are proud to be a small part of this process. Thank you for the opportunity.  Gene & Bev

Update on Dallan – Mid-May

Dallan is here and slowing adjusting to life in our household. I think it was a really good idea to bring him up early. He has been very excited since he arrived and stays up late but gets up early. I think daylight savings time is having an effect on him as well. His overall health seems good right now and he is free from pain ... He is very thankful to God for all those He has placed in his life. He is excited and apprehensive at the same time about his appointment.

Our friend Dallan's Story

In early 2016, one of our partners introduced us to Dallan Bailey – pictured here with his cousin (it didn’t take us long to discover) – our Project Manager Kenny Logan!

A humble Young man with a personality as sweet as his smile, Dallan grew up in the government orphanage in Belize City.  One of my friends here discovered that he was homeless so she took him in and gave him a job to help him to get on his feet.
